The Harvard Lampoon is a humor publication which was founded by 7 Harvard University undergraduates in 1876. The publication was inspired by publications such as Puck and Punch. It is counted as the 2nd longest continually published humor magazine if the breaks during the two World Wars are not taken into consideration. They also produce humor books occasionally such as Bored of the Rings (parody of J. R. R. Tolkien's series) as well as parodies of magazines such as Sports Illustrated and Entertainment Weekly.
